Did you hear?? The 90s are back in style, so here's our throwback contribution: the Canvas Phanny Pack (yes, that spelling is correct, thank you).
This piece is an intaglio print, created by carving and etching on a copper plate. It is an invitation to attend to our surroundings; to live in awareness and connection to our natural environments. It is an examination of Jon Kabat-Zinn’s concept, “wherever you go, there you are.”
Free Range Equipment went to great lengths to design something that allows you to carry your phone, wallet, keys, and kool-aid like it's 1999. Fast forward a couple decades and you can now rock the most functional pack ever, with your choice of prints from some radical artists. Wear it mountain biking, running, hiking, skiing, around town or generally anytime you need a little extra carrying capacity just above the hips.
To summarize, the Canvas Phanny pack is 100% practical and 10% nerdy - which adds to 110% totally tubular. Party on!!
The Canvas Series
The Canvas Series is a Free Range collaboration with artists who live to get lost in the mountains. A portion of each sale goes directly back to the artist who painted/illustrated/imagined your print. The artist for this print is Laurenne Ross, an Olympic skier who is passionate about more than just athletics. She grew up on the slopes in the Canadian Rockies, and was always inspired by mountains, community, nature and movement.
