FREE WOMENS SKI DEMO DAYS

Free Women’s Ski Demo Days in Colorado
Find the skis that make you a better, happier skier.
Every winter, outdoor DIVAS hosts a series of free women’s ski demo days at Loveland Ski Area and Copper Mountain Resort. These events give women the opportunity to test the latest skis, compare models in real mountain conditions and get personalized recommendations from experts who specialize in women’s ski equipment.

We have been hosting women’s ski demo days for more than 20 years. In fact, outdoor DIVAS hosts the only women-specific ski demo day series in the country.

No massive co-ed demo scene. No oversized leftover skis. No standing around while the guys get all the attention. Just a thoughtfully selected lineup of women’s skis, useful size ranges, knowledgeable guidance and a welcoming community of women who love to ski.

Registration is free. Lift access is not included.

More Than 20 Years of Women’s Ski Expertise
outdoor DIVAS was founded in 2002 to give women something the outdoor industry was missing: equipment selected for women, fit expertise centered around women’s bodies and honest guidance from people who take women’s skiing seriously.

More than two decades later, we remain the only women’s ski shop in the country. Women’s ski gear is not a small department or a side category for us. It is what we do.

Our team understands that the right ski cannot be chosen by height, weight or ability label alone. We want to know:

Where do you usually ski?
Which terrain do you love?
What feels challenging?
Do you prefer quick, energetic turns or a smoother, more stable ride?
Are you looking for one ski that does everything or another option for your quiver?
What are you skiing now, and what do you wish it did better?
Where do you want your skiing to go next?
Your answers help us choose a starting point. Your feedback after each run helps us refine it.

Take one lap, return the ski and tell us what you noticed. There are no wrong answers. “Too stiff,” “really easy,” “felt shaky,” “loved it” and “I have no idea, but that was fun” are all useful information. Our experts will translate what you felt into a smarter recommendation for your next run.

By the end of the day, you should have a much clearer understanding of which skis work for you and why.

How to Test Skis Like a Diva
Testing skis isn’t about racking up the most runs — it’s about paying attention to how each ski feels under your boots. Here’s how to make the most of your Demo Day:

Start with what you know

Take a warm-up run on your own skis. It gives you a baseline for comparison.
One run, one ski. At Demo Days, you’ll take one run per ski so everyone gets a chance — but that’s usually all it takes to feel the difference.
Mix it up.

Try skis in the same category back-to-back (like two all-mountain models) to really notice what stands out.
Pay attention. Does the ski feel stable? Easy to turn? Playful or powerful? Do you feel more confident? These cues matter more than specs.
Take notes.

After each run, jot down quick impressions — otherwise they’ll blur together by lunchtime.
Trust your gut. Forget what your buddy skis or what a magazine said. The right ski is the one that makes you smile the whole way down.
At the end of the day, the best ski isn’t the flashiest or the most expensive — it’s the one that makes you ski stronger, smoother, and happier. That’s the magic of Demo Days.

Who Should Attend?

Our women’s ski demo days are for every woman who wants to feel more confident, comfortable or capable on skis.

Come see us if you are:

Shopping for your first pair of skis
Ready to move beyond an entry-level setup
Replacing older skis and curious about newer technology
Looking for one versatile ski for most conditions
Adding a frontside, all-mountain or soft-snow ski to your quiver
Working toward more challenging terrain
Unsure whether your current skis are helping or holding you back
Simply curious about how different skis feel
You do not need to be an expert, ski aggressively or understand equipment terminology. Curiosity is enough. Our job is to help with the rest.

What to Bring
Alpine ski boots
Ski poles
A valid lift ticket, season pass or qualifying Ikon Pass
A valid driver’s license or government-issued ID for collateral
Appropriate clothing and protection for the day’s conditions
An open mind and a willingness to try something new
Demo skis accommodate alpine ski boots only.

Free to Attend, Seriously Useful
There is no fee to participate in an outdoor DIVAS women’s ski demo day. You are responsible for your own lift access, but discounted Loveland lift-ticket vouchers will be available for our Loveland events. At Copper Mountain, participants may use qualifying access on their Ikon Pass.

Come for a few runs or spend the day working through the lineup. Bring your girlfriends, meet other women who ski and take advantage of an opportunity that does not exist anywhere else in the country.

Skip the dude fest. Find your skis. Have a blast.

WOMEN'S DEMO DAYS

FAQ'S

Do I need to register ahead of time?
Pre-registration isn’t required, but it really helps. If you sign up in advance, check-in is quicker and you’ll spend more time skiing and less time filling out forms. Walk-ups are always welcome too.

Is it really free?
Yes — Outdoor Divas Demo Days are free, and discount vouchers for lift tickets will be available.

Can beginners participate?

Absolutely. Whether you’re linking your first turns or cruising the blues, we’ll help you find skis that match your ability and goals.

How many skis can I try?
As many as you’d like — but please note, it’s one run per ski so everyone gets a fair chance to test different models. Most women get through 6–8 pairs in a day.

What if it’s snowing or conditions aren’t perfect?
That’s the point! Demoing in real conditions shows you how each ski truly performs — whether it’s powder, packed powder, or something a little icier.

Do I need to bring anything besides my ski gear?
Just your boots, poles, lift ticket/pass, and a valid ID/credit card for deposit. We’ll handle the skis (and the fun).

Why is this demo just for women?
Because no one else is doing it. Outdoor Divas created these events to give women skiers a space to test gear without the crowds or pressure of a traditional demo. It’s supportive, social, and all about you
