In 1979, the first prototype of a 3-piece ski boot was created and provided skiers the same level of flexible articulation without bulging and pinching as famed NASA astronauts and the suits they wore. Founded in 2006, Full Tilt has been on a mission to bring back this original 3-piece ski boot design that was made popular over 40 years ago using ideas and molds from NASA engineers, Al Gross and Dixie Rinehart's Aspen-based company: Comfort Products. Bringing comfort and functionality back to the world of ski boot design, Full Tilt plans to continue to improve and maximize these qualities of the original 3-piece ski boot design.
