A Little Wider. A Lot of Possibilities.
First-chair corduroy, a little fresh snow, and that tempting turn through the trees. The Blizzard Black Pearl 94 gives you room to explore without giving up the satisfying grip of a well-carved turn. It’s a versatile women’s all-mountain ski for days when your plans extend beyond the grooming report.
Its 94mm waist provides more surface area for softer snow than the Black Pearl 88, while a supportive construction keeps it connected and composed on firmer terrain. Confident intermediates have room to grow, and advanced and expert skiers have the backbone to put some power into their turns. Go ahead. Take the scenic route.
The Technology Behind the Turns
Blizzard’s W.S.D. Trueblend All Mountain Woodcore combines dense beech underfoot with softer poplar toward the tips and tails. This creates support through the middle and a more forgiving flex at the ends. The core is tuned individually for each length, helping maintain balanced performance across the size range.
W.S.D. FluxForm All Mountain construction uses three strategically shaped pieces of Titanal to add damping, strength, and stability while preserving the ski’s ability to flex. The result is a reassuring platform when you pressure the edges and a smoother feel as conditions change.
Early-rise tip and tail rocker help with turn entry and release, while 6mm of camber underfoot contributes grip and rebound. Full ABS sidewalls transmit pressure to the edges for precise control.
Designed With Women. Including Two of Our Own.
The Black Pearl 94 benefits from Blizzard Tecnica’s Women2Women program, which brings women’s experience directly into product development, testing, and refinement. Their feedback helps shape equipment that delivers the confidence, performance, and versatility women want on snow.
This connection is personal for us: outdoor DIVAS founder Kim Walker and managing partner Lauren Williams each participated in the women’s design group for a season. Listening to women and understanding what they need from their gear is something we’ve believed in from the beginning. We love seeing that same approach built into the products we carry.

The DIVAS Take
Choose the Black Pearl 94 if you want a capable everyday ski with more versatility in softer snow than the 88, while keeping a strong connection to the groomers. It suits women who enjoy a supportive ski, reliable edging, and the freedom to explore different parts of the mountain.
It rewards a balanced stance and deliberate input, especially in tighter terrain. If most of your day involves firm groomers and you prioritize quicker edge changes, consider the Black Pearl 88. If your ideal day mixes carved turns with soft-snow detours, the 94 deserves a spot on your demo list.
